Biography

Professor: Isfahan University of Technology 2023 - 

Associate Professor: Isfahan University of Technology 2013–2023. Member of the Iran Science Elites Federation in 2016, 2017, and 2020. Organization of the international "Hands-on workshop and Humboldt-Kolleg: Density-Functional Theory and Beyond - Basic Principles and Modern Insights (link)" at the Isfahan University of Technology in 2016 in cooperation with the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and the Max-Planck Society of Germany. Organization of a national workshop in the field of emerging quantum technologies in 2018. Starting an international joint project with a Russian colleague in the field of machine learning in material science. Advising ten doctoral dissertations and about twenty master theses. Publication of about forty research articles.

Assistant Professor: Isfahan University of Technology 2007–2013. Several short visits to the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Italy, the University of Duisburg in Germany, and the Fritz-Haber-Institute of the Max Planck Institute in Germany. Advising six Ph.D. and more than fifteen master theses. Publication of about forty research articles.

Post-doctorate: University of Duisburg, Germany, 2006–2007. Fellowship of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Host professor: Prof. Peter Kratzer. Publication of two joint papers

Ph.D.: Department of Physics, Isfahan University of Technology, 2001–2006. Supervisor: Prof. Hadi Akbarzadeh. Research: computational condensed matter physics. Sabbatical leaves at the Fritz-Haber-Institute of the Max-Planck society in Germany and a couple of short visits to the International Abdus Salam Centre for Theoretical Physics in Italy. Collaboration with researchers from Germany, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Algeria. Publication of twelve research articles and fourteen conference articles.

Master: Experimental Solid State Physics, Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, 1999-2001. Supervisor: Prof. Alireza Mushfaq. Publication of four research papers and several conference papers.
